Wood, Raymond C., of Choctaw, OK passed away June 4, 1988. Born May 16, 1921 at Ft. Cobb, OK. He was retired from the Oklahoma County Highway Dept. He was also an early pioneer of Choctaw, early settler & starter of Wright Station, now known as Woods Community. He was a charter member of the Woods Community Baptist Church & retired civil service from Tinker AFB after 27 years.
He is survived by his wife, Doris of the home, 2 sons, Melvin Wood of Choctaw, OK & Clifford Wood of Poulsbo, WA, 2 daughters , Rayleen Lee of Choctaw & Jeannie Draper of Choctaw, 2 brothers, Leighton Wood of Carney, OK & Danny Wood of Gore, OK, 4 sisters, Rene Smith of Midwest City, Thelma Davis of Kingston, OK, Wanda Warren of New Orleans, LA & Audrey Houston of Choctaw, 13 grandchildren & 1 great granddaughter.
Services will be Monday, June 6 at 10 a.m. at the Bill Eisenhour SE Chapel. Burial will be at the
Elmwood Cemetery in Choctaw.
