Minnie Gladys Wright, long-time resident of Nicoma Park, passed away peacefully in her home on April 2, 2006. Minnie was born on November 18, 1908 in Sweetwater, Oklahoma to W.M. and Eda Miranda Cox. She married her sweetheart, Howard Wright, on November 4, 1928 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma. Minnie and Howard were blessed with four children. They established a home together in Nicoma Park in 1942. Minnie committed her life to her family and fulfilled the scripture of Proverbs 31 depicting a virtuous woman. She looked well to the ways of her household. Her children rise up and call her blessed. Minnie was an active member of The Church of the Firstborn for nearly 74 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Wright; sons, J.R. and
Eugene Wright; grandson David Wright; great-grandson
Wesley Wright; daughter-in-law Virginia Wright; her parents; six sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Harold Dean and Sis Wright of Nicoma Park, and her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Gene Cramer of Choctaw; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends. She will be greatly missed.
Services honoring her life will be held on April 6, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Funeral Home with graveside service to follow at
Arlington Memory
Gardens.
