Yoakum, Marion "Ted", age 81 of Choctaw, went to be with his heavenly father Sept 22, 1999. He was born Dec. 11, 1917 in Shamrock, Okla. to Missie Ingram & Jessie Arthur Yoakum. After leaving Shamrock, Okla., he moved to Konawa, Okla. & later to Newalla, Okla. where his mother operated the Newalla Train Depot around 1929, then moved to Okla. City where he was manager for the Yellow Cab. Co. and drove a taxi for 41 years and started a bus company with Yellow Cab. After leaving Yellow Cab Co. he went to work for the State Capitol Police and worked for 16 years until his retirement in 1984 and moved to Choctaw where he lived until his death. He served in 542 Parachute Regiment, 542 Parachute Battalion & 90th Glider Troops Inf. Division & 75th Inf. Divisi onin WWII. 

He is survived by his wife, Ola of 59 yrs; his daughter Barbara Goforth & son-in-law Dale Goforth of Choctaw; two grandchildren, Steven Goforth & wife Kerrie, Carla Graham & husband Freddie of Choctaw; 5 great-grandchildren, Jerry Graham, Keaton Graham, Brooke Graham of Choctaw, Casey Goforth & Brady Goforth of Choctaw; one sister, Loma Cooper & brother-in-law Kirk Cooper of Del City & numerous friends & relatives. 

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Mon., Sept 27, 1999 at Choctaw Pentecostal Holiness Church, Rev. Mike Mefford officiating, S. Ind. Meridian. Interment will be at Choctaw Cemetery.

Ola Nadine Yoakum, age 84, went to be with the Lord on May 12, 2007. She was born July 3, 1922 to Lushen and Jimmie Williams in Henryetta, OK. 

She is preceded in death by her husband Ted Yoakum; 5 brothers; and 3 sisters whom she loved dearly. Ola leaves behind to cherish her memories, 1 daughter, Barbara Goforth and husband Dale; 2 grandchildren, Carla Graham and husband Fred, Steve Goforth and wife Kerrie; 5 great-grandchildren, Jerry, Keaton, & Brooke Graham, Casey Vague and husband Casey, and Brady Goforth; and 2 great-great-grandchildren, Toby & Talon Vague. 

Services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, May 17, 2007 at Hibbs Funeral Home with interment following at Elmwood Cemetery in Choctaw.
