February 27, 2002William (Bill) Fenton deCordova , (87), died
Monday, Feb. 25, 2002 at Midwest City. He was born June 9, 1914 in
Tishomingo, OK to Leo and Ella deCordova . Bill attended Central High
School, Oklahoma City, and graduated from there in 1934. He worked at
Douglas Aircraft during WW II and was a civil servant at Tinker Air
Force Base where he retired in 1975.
He married Lois Aline Sumter Sept. 16, 1934 in Winfield, KS. They met
at a church party while in high school. Their son, Kenneth E., was born
June 28, 1935. Bill was vice-president of the Oklahoma City Amateur Golf
Association in the late 1940s. He was a staunch supporter of OU Football
and a long-time member of Country Estates Baptist Church in Midwest
City.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Bill is survived by his son
and daughter-in-law, Ken & Fran, Midwest City; grandson, Carl, Midwest
City; and granddaughter Karen, Midwest City; brother and sister-in-law
Kenneth F. and Clara deCordova , OKC, many nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be held Thursday, 10 a.m. at Bill Eisenhour Funeral
Home, Del City. Burial Immediately following at
Resthaven Memorial Gardens,
OKC. Bill Eisenhour Southeast.

Lois Aline (Sumter) deCordova, 80, died Sun., March 8, 1998, at Midwest
City Hospital. She was born Oct. 7, 1917 in Byers, OK, to Mount E. &
Jessie Sumter. Lois attended Central High School, OKC, then received her
GED. She worked at Douglas Aircraft during WWII and was a civil servant
at Tinker Air Force Base where she retired in 1976.
She married William F. (Dutch) deCordova Sept. 16, 1934 in Winfield, KS.
She had met Bill at a church party while they were in high school. Their
son, Kenneth E., was born June 28, 1935. Lois was a homemaker and helped
support the family throughout several moves within Oklahoma, California
and Texas. Lois enjoyed painting & reading. She was a longtime member of
Country Estates Baptist Church & Beta Sigma PhiSorority.
Lois is survived by husband, Bill, of Midwest City; son &
daughter-in-law, Ken & Fran, Midwest City; grandson, Carl, Santa Monica,
CA; and granddaughter, Karen, OKC; sister, Ruth Malaski, OKC; Bill's
brother & his wife, Kenneth F. & Clara deCordova , OKC; many nieces,
nephews & friends.
Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, at Country Estates Baptist
Church, 1000 S. Midwest Blvd., Midwest City. Burial immediately
following at
Resthaven Memorial Gardens,
OKC.
