MaeAnne ( McMillan ) Steward died August 11, 2008, in Oklahoma City. Born July 9, 1924, Greer County, OK to Louis Theodore and Mae Ruth McMillan. She was raised on a farm/ranch in Greer County and had many stories of her wonderful childhood with her sister Lennis and her mother and father, even though it was in the midst of the Dust Bowl and the Depression. She had a deep love and respect for the ''cowboy way of life'', and the beauty of Western Oklahoma, often referring to it as ";God's country". Anne attended school at Eastview and Reed and then went on to earn a degree in teaching and Home Economics from Southwestern State College in Weatherford, OK. This is where she met her "Stew". She and Rader Roland ";Stew"; Steward married on August 30, 1947, in Mangum, OK. After following Stew to Fort Polk and enduring his absence while he was serving in Korea, they moved back to Weatherford and began a family with the birth of James Roland in 1953. They lived briefly in Erick, OK and then settled in Oklahoma City. The family was completed with the birth of daughter, Janna Ruth, in 1959. Anne was a devoted wife and mother. Serving and supporting her family was her greatest passion.

Having raised her children, she then pursued another passion with the opening of Attic Orphans Antique Shop. This along with the addition of her five grandchildren, kept her life full and happy.

Anne was predeceased by her parents, husband and sister-in-law, Patricia Mclntyre.

She is survived by her sister, Lennis Kolb and her husband Vernon Kolb of Tulsa; son, Jim Steward and Karen Laste and her sons Matthew and Adam, all of OKC; daughter Jann McCollom and her husband Max McCollom of Edmond. She loved beyond words her grandchildren and is survived by granddaughter, Courtny Lynn Steward and John Goggin of Denver; grandson, Wesley Steward Morgan McCollom of Denver; granddaughter, Sarah Ashley Morgan McCollom of Nashville; grandsons, Luke Iden McCollom and Grant Christian McCollom, both of Edmond. She is also survived by her favorite cousin, Helen White; sister-in-law, Shirley Nell and her husband Warren and their family; nephew, Arron Mclntyre and his wife Marsha and their family. The family wishes to thank the staff at Brighton Gardens for their loving care for Miss Anne .

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 Friday, August 15, 2008, at New Hope Church, 3601 South Broadway, Ste. 1300, Edmond. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer's Association.
