H. R. Reid

Harvey R. Reid died at his home in Terlton on Tuesday morning, November 16. He had suffered from Typhoid fever for almost four weeks. It was thought that he was much better on Sunday and his recovery was thought possible. He was 29 years and one month old and was born at Agusuta, Kansas 15 October 1880.

He moved with his parents to Oklahoma in 1893 where he has resided with the exception of a short time in Kansas and Colorado. He was called home about September 1 on account of the sickness of his father, H. E. Reid, whose death occured on September 28 and was home only a short while when he took sick. He was a member of the Reorganized Church of Latter Day Saints and was always found faithfull in his duty. While in his right mind he talked about being a minister of the gospel when he got well. It is a consoling thought to know he was prepared to go.

He leaves a mother, three sisters and two brothers to mourn the loss. He also had a host of friends who sympathize with the family in their bereavement. The funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon and the remains laid to rest, after a short service by Reverand A. J. Moore, in the Terlton Cemetery. Harvey had a policy in the Modern Woodman of America for $1,000 in favor of his mother.
