My father, Michael Edgar HOLT, says his father, George Andrew HOLT, was born in Oklahoma Territory in 1902. George's parents were Rufus and Margaret HOLT. I don't have Margaret's maiden name but Dad says she was from around the Louisiana area. Dad says when George Andrew was 8 years of age, in 1910, they moved from Oklahoma to. Bakersfield, California. George Andrew eventually went to Topnish, Washington and I believe to Oregon. He married Esther Sabra COCHRAN, my grandmother, who's family is of Oregon, COLEMAN's and COCHRAN's. Any information on Rufus, Margaret or George would be appreciated. George ended up dying at a young age, 40ish, in Oregon. Probably about 1968-1969 as I only have one memory of him and was probably 2ish when he died. My father, Michael , is an only child but has HOLT cousins so George must have had b & s's at some point. Rufus would have fathered them too. Any info is much appreciated.

I am searching for information on my Great-Great Grandfather George Henry HOLT, I believe he was born in or around Walters circa 1846 and I am told he is buried in Walters as well. He died around 1945. His grave may be unmarked. His son is Joseph Harvey HOLT. His granddaughter, Rosie Bell HOLT is my Dad's mother. She tells me that he lived in an old folks home around or in Walters up until his death. He was full blood Cherokee Indian. My dad, Thomas Lee FONVILLE was born in Randlett on Jan 25, 1945 in an old shack that set right off the red river. Any information someone may share would of be great interest to me. Thank you.
