Quarterly Newsletter

The Choctaw County Genealogical Society publishes a quarterly newsletter released in January, April, July and October of each year. To help keep costs down starting in 2016 the newsletter is now published in an electronic format only.

While CCGS is publishing our newsletter archive online, the most recent newsletters are reserved for paid members only.

In past years, there have been times there was not a newsletter editor and for those times there is not a newsletter available. As the Society has changed hands over the years, some past newsletter have been lost. The current CCGS staff has taken steps to try and locate and scan as many past CCGS newsletters as we can find. If you have past CCGS newsletters not listed to the right, please let us know.

Currently, our newsletter has several quarterly features.

Featured Family

A specific Choctaw County family is featured each quarter. The information varies from family to family depending on the submissions provided. We would be glad to feature your Choctaw County family in a future issue.

Veteran Spotlight

Each quarter a Choctaw County Veteran is featured.

Choctaw County Recollections

Stories, newspaper clippings, photos....anything Choctaw County related.

Biographies

Biographies of Choctaw County / Indian Territory citizens are featured when available.

Choctaw County Records

Marriages, death certificates, court records, etc. are included when available.

Choctaw Language (Chahta Anumpa)

Choctaw language rules and words provided in every issue.

Obituaries

Obituaries related to Choctaw County are published in every issue.
