Cora Banks, 74, Dies Thursday
Mrs. Cora Banks, 74, Kellyville, died late Thursday afternoon in a
local doctor's office of a fatal heart attack.
A Kellyville resident since 1907 she was born in Indian Territory
near Claremore June 22, 1894. She was the widow of William Banks, who
died in 1956, and was a member of Kellyville Assembly of God church.
Survivors are three sons, Bill, Vincent and Leon Banks of Kellyville;
five daughters, Mrs. Marie Cercy, 74 W. Mary Lynn; Mrs. Viola Brannon,
Tulsa; Mrs. Mildred Alberty, Sand Springs; Mrs. Agnes Berryhill, Bixby;
Mrs. Darla McGuire, Ponca City. A sixth daughter, Mrs. Irene Matlock,
died in 1966.
Also surviving are 18 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two
brothers, Eddie Lawson, Harrisburg, Pa.; Harvey Lawson, Selma, Calif.;
four sisters, Mrs. Mae Clark; San Luis Obispo, Calif.; Mrs. Rose
Fletcher, Mrs. Annora Waldrip, both of Blue Bell community and Mrs.
Willie McGuire, Kellyville.
Funeral rites will be at 2 pm Saturday at Kellyville Assembly of God
with the Rev. Vernie Edwards and the Rev. Arnold Alexander officiating.
Interment will be in Sunrise Cemetery under direction of Owen Funeral
Home.
Pallbearers will be Max Staiger, Jack Nelson, Amos Felix, Jake Scott,
J. B. Goodman and Wayne Moss.
