of Kellyville, died Monday, June 19, 2006 at St. Francis
Hospital in Tulsa at the age of 79. Betty was born Feb. 17, 1927
in Inverness, Miss. to Richard Luther and Bettie Ann (Upchurch)
Foster. She was one of nine children.
Betty Lou was a remarkable woman who loved life and God. She
met her one and only love and soul mate, Onia Rosson through a
sister who was writing to a man from Oklahoma who was in the
service and joking, she and another sister remarked, “See if he
has a buddy,” which he did, two. From there life began for six
people.
Later they were all married and raised a great multitude of
children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
After marrying Onia Rosson April 6, 1946 in Isola, Miss. and
living in Oklahoma, Mississippi and New Orleans for 17 years,
they returned to Oklahoma to Kellyville, where they lived and
fulfilled a wonderful life together until 19 years ago, when on
June 18, 1987 when Onia went to be with the Lord.
Betty is survived by her eight children, daughters Ann and
husband Tim Cughan, of Deltona, Fla., Deborah and husband Mike
Doherty, of Bartlesville, Susan and husband Marshall Crone, of

Rosson, of Sapulpa, Clifford and wife Patsy Rosson, Dale and
wife Theresa Rosson, Bobby and wife Tammy Rosson, all of
Kellyville, and a ninth child, inherited daughter Stacy Kellogg,
of Tulsa. She had 32 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren
and two more coming.
She was a lady who loved people. Just ask the girls at the
bank. Her hobbies were sewing, crocheting and cooking for large
groups, while collecting dolls and a passion for singing in the
choir at church. She did not have a home church. She just loved
to worship God.
Betty was nurse at Bartlett Hospital, and later she went on
to work at Pleasant Manor as a med nurse.
