Walker Wayne Waltrip, 80, of 860 West Mount Whitney, in Riverdale, Calif., died Tuesday at Riverdale.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Friday, at Westside Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Morris officiating.

Burial will follow at Sunrise Cemetery in Kellyville under the direction of Owen Funeral Home.

He was born June 28, 1912, in Omaha, Ark., to Edgar and Thenny Matlock Waltrip. Waltrip was a farmer. He married Bessie Huffman on May 19, 1934. A resident of Riverdale, he moved from Fresno, Calif., three years ago. He attended the Free Holiness Church in California and was an avid fisherman and gardener.

Survivors include his sons, Edgar Waltrip of Caruthers, Calif., Wayne Waltrip of Sapulpa, Danny Waltrip, Robert Waltrip and Richard Waltrip all of Fresno, Calif., Tommy Waltrip of Kellyville; daughters, Lorine Jubb and Linda Wilhite, of Riverdale, Corine Jubb of Fresno, Barbara Clemens of Sapulpa, Judy Diaz of Kerman, Calif.; brother Roy Waltrip of Kellyville, sisters, Ruby Friend of Kellyville, and Evelyn Joiner of Rollins, Mo.; 28 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Casket bearers will be Robert Clemens, James Waltrip, Walter Tucker, Patrick McGuire, Jackie Waltrip and Terry Waltrip.

Honorary casket bearers will be Guy Allison, Eddie Waltrip, Leon Cooper, David Clemens and Steve Wilhite.

The family will headquarter at 4706 North Walnut Drive (Valley Oaks Estates) in Sapulpa.
