Tuskegee In southeastern Creek County, 15 miles northwest of Okmulgee.

post office from April 6, 1872 to September 30, 1957.
Its name comes from
a Creek town in Macon County,
Alabama. The word is probably a corruption
of the Creek word 'taskialgi' meaning "warrior."
