Wann City Hall
Wann Town Clerk is Carol Deaton. She is at the town hall on
Thursdays. Wann does not have any records available for research, except
for some cemetery records. They are trying to reconstruct the records
for the cemetery at this time.
Wann School Reunion is still working on a complete
address list for alumni.

The town of Wann was named after Robert F. Wann, who was a prominent
local resident. The name of the community was originally Coon and a
livery barn and dug well served the stage line that ran from
Bartlesville to Coffeyville, Kansas. Source: "A Look At The History of
Nowata Oklahoma" and Vicinity by Robert W. DeMoss. This book is
available at the Nowata County Historical Museum in Nowata.
