Josh Lee Huston, 68 of Choctaw passed away Wednesday, July 17,
2002 at his residence. He was born to Sam & Audra Mae (Wood)
Huston on June 13, 1934 in Choctaw, OK. Josh graduated from
Choctaw High School in 1953. He began working for Rainbo (sic) Bakery
& Butter Crust Bakery while in high school. He served in the
U.S. Army from July 1957 to July of 1959. He was stationed in
Germany, where he was a Baker & Pastry Cook. He moved to
California in 1960, where he managed the bakery dept. for Athens
Bakery, Inc. until his retirement in March of 1986, at which
time he moved back to Choctaw, OK. He was a member of the Bakery
& Confectionery Workers Union of America.
Josh is survived by 3 brothers: Herbert H. & wife Susie,
Sam F. & wife Ruth, and
Archie A. & wife Veronica all of Choctaw, 3 sisters: Naoma J
Carney & husband Paul of Rudy, AR, Jean Hunter of Warr Acres,
and Peggy Perez & husband Manuel of Choctaw, 14 nieces & nephews
and numerous other family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and 2
nephews. Josh will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, 7/20/2002 at
the Barnes & Johnson FH Chapel with burial at the
Elmwood
Cemetery in Choctaw. Barnes & Johnson Funeral Home.
