Claude Dow Kennedy, born at Siberia, Calif., on February 15, 1907, and died June 19, 1935, at an Oklahoma City, Okla., hospital from a broken back and other injuries received May 29, when a car accidentally fell on him while working at Seminole. Mr. Kennedy grew up around Soldier and Holton, Kansas, coming to Seminole, Okla., about two years ago. He married Carrie D. Melton, December 17, 1933, and leaves his wife and a three-month-old son, Charles Duane; mother, Mrs. Ana Kennedy, of Holton, Kans.; one brother, Archie Kennedy, and family, of Trinidad, Calif., a sister, Mrs. Elsie Buchanan, and family, of Seminole, Okla., and a host of other relatives and friends. Buried at Maple Grove cemetery at Seminole on June 20, 1935, with Rev. Steele of the First Christian church conducting services at the grave, Collier Bros., funeral directors, were in charge."
