Roberson, Nancy Jane Flowers From Santa Cruz Sentinel, Dec 23, 1960 Nancy Jane Roberson, 83, a native of Houston, Mo., and a resident of Scotts Valley since 1954, died last evening in her home at 4729 Los Gatos Hwy. She had moved from Mo. with her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Rueben Flowers (Mary Morris) to Sherman, Tx. when she was 17. She married the late James Roberson who died in 1940 in Ok. He had been a Baptist preacher and Mrs. Roberson was exceedingly active in church work throughout her life until her final illness about 8 weeks ago. She was on the executive board of the Santa Cruz Baptist Assoc. and was an original member and founder of the Scotts Valley Baptist Church. She is survived by 2 daus., Mrs. Mildred JOLLY of Santa Cruz and Mrs. Minnie Magouirk of Kansas ; 7 sons, C. R., Gleeson and Lowell Roberson of Santa Cruz, Sturgeon of San Leandro, Glenn of Arizona, Ernest of Oklahoma and Dossie Roberson of Tx. ; 3 brothers, Perry, Henry & Milo Flowers, all of Kansas ; 33 grandchildren and 74 gr-grandchildren. She was preceded in death also by a son, J. B. Roberson who was killed during cadet training with the Air Force. Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 11 a. m. in the Scotts Valley Baptist Church with the Rev. Glenn Culwell officiating, assisted by Rev. Johnnie McBroom. The remains will be forwarded to Seminole, Oklahoma where services will be conducted. Interment will be in Seminole. White's Mortuary, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
