NOTES:
1. Charles (Charlie) Alfred and Henry Milton Crow are sons of Alfred
Milton Crow and Saleta Ann Francis Holcomb,
my Great Grandparents
2. Pauls Valley is not far from Foster, OK, in Garvin County. That
is where my father, Ernest Milton
Crow, was born on December 9, 1905
Comment: On the 1860 census for Hall Co., GA., there is an A.M.
Crow, age 20, male, in the household
with J. Hansard and family (pg
208, 413 dist., family #1340 on census) as an apprentice
blacksmith.
Assuming this was our Alfred M. Crow (the age is correct), he went on to
be a
boot and shoe maker (cobbler), as was his father, Johnathan W.
Crow, and my G.G.Grandfather.
Could this apprenticeship training have
influenced Charles Alfred Crow and Henry Milton Crow
to consider this
venture?
