Query posted by Karchf on February 11, 2000 for , CAMPBELL, MYERS, FRANKENFIELD, KERLEY

I am seeking information and possible descendants of my gggrandfather, Duncan H. CAMPBELL. He was born in PA, served in the Civil War. Married Margie or Margery MYERS,(possibly in Lycoming or Bucks Co, PA) had 3 children, William, (who along with Margie died in a Christmas Eve or Christmas Day candlelight service in the Baptist Church they attended) another son, Harry A., and a daughter, Encie DuPui (not sure of the spelling on that one..)survived the fire. The story goes that Margie was able to throw Harry & Encie out the window to Duncan who was tying the horses up prior to entering the church..Duncan made the Landrun of '89 into the Unassigned Lands and then sold out several years later to move back to Kansas.

Farritor/Ferriter Bluejacket   204

Query posted by Franklin, A on February 25, 2000 for FARRITOR

In 1891, my Ggrandfather, Robert Garrett Farritor, took two wagons and left Custer Cty NE due to drought and grasshoppers, etc. The entire family headed south and stopped to visit at a brother's house in Bluejacket, Craig Cty, OK according to family lore. This would have been in about 1891. Upon their return from Texas, they also stopped in OK to work in rder to be able to continue back to NE. They lost four children in an epidemic they called black measles. They are buried in Norman OK. They may have visited his brother at that time also in about 1893. I would appreciate any information on the name Farritor or Ferriter, etc.
