We are looking for information about the family of James Newton and Nora Tucker Scarbrough. They moved to Craig Co. about 1907. Both James and Nora were buried in the Timpson Chapel Cemetery, as well as at least one daughter. Known children are Tressie, Lula, Lena, Margorie, and Gladys.

Thank you for all the information. We truly have no further information on this immediate family, only the census records and the cemetery location. What you have given us is wonderful. James Newton Scarbrough was a half brother to our great grandfather, William Lewis Martin. We knew another brother, Isaac Scarbrough, went to Ada, OK and we recently found that another brother, John Scarbrough, went to Oregon.

Query posted by Cgordonlrc on November 14, 2008

I am attempting to find someone who may have known Betty Jean Tune who worked at the Oklahoma state hospital in Vinita in the late 1960s or early 1970s. She passed away in 1972. If you know of anyone who might be of assistance please let me know.

I read the old Vinita newspapers at the Oklahoma History Center in Oklahoma City. It's supposed to have all newspapers published in the state of OK that were saved...
