My Mother was Mary Catherine Martin Millhollin. She was the daughter of Laith and Myra Martin. My Father was Levi Marion Millhollin. I am the youngest daughter Lila. My name is spelled wrong on the list of Mary and Levi's children.

Mary Catherine , my ancestor was the older brother of Laith John Lewis Martin..
I have managed to research the Martins back to 1850 with the ancestry of John Martin senor who Married Mary Catherine Smith with photocopy of marriage licenses.
would really like to correspond with you and get more information on the Martins if you have it. I also have pictures of Laith , William Jordan and a young woman identified as Mary Martin Mulholland

Email me direct at sama1237@sbcglobal.net and I will send you what I have on the Martins from John Martin senior show died in 1929 prob at Vinita , however no record of any cemetary listings for him, wife Mary Catherene Smith Martin is buried Denning cem Boone County Arkansas his name is on stone but no dates.
I descend from Laiths oler brother John Lewis Martin jr who married Louisa Mae Murphy Benson Martin of Boone County Arkansas.

I have in the past corresponded with a Ricky?? Martin and gave him what I had also. then there is a Belle Martin in Kansas I have corresponded with. Do you know of her?
In 1998 I attended the funeral of my aunt Bernice Martin Summers in Checotah Oklahoma , there were some people at the house I wish I had talked with, because at that time I had just started on the Martin research.Aunt Bernice (Squaw) gave me a start with what she had.
Laith had older brothers, my ancestor, a James Daniel, who migrated to Ohio, a sister, Clarica Victoria who is buried in Craig County Oklahoma.
Laith is listed on the 1930 census Craig County as Indian.James Daniel had a daughter Virginia Kosman of Des Moines Ohio I have her records also.
I also have Laith and Myras photocopy of marriage license.
Virginia Kosman is the one who sent me photos taken in 1930 's of Laith ,William Jordan, wives, Clarica Victoria (Aunt Vic) and a young woman identified as Mary Catherine standing in the yard at someones house. The Kosmans had made a trip to Craig County from Ohio to visit. Sarrah

Ricky Martin was my Uncle George's(LC) oldest son. I don't know a Bernice Martin. Please send any more information you might have about my family. My Mom when she was alive tried to search for Indian records of our family with no luck. My sister's and I have also tried to locate records also but have had no luck. I do remember Aunt Vic Rush. Please send email me copies of documents or pictures you might have. I love looking up any of my ancestors that I can find. Thanks again.

I am looking for what cemetery she is buried at. Her death date is 30 Oct 1952 in Vinita,OK. We are looking for any information on her husband also. We need a death date for him. He was born 30 Apr 1876 in Strougton, Mass. They did live in Tulsa,OK in 1930. But neither one is in the Tulsa Funeral Home index. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you Emily for posting the newspaper articles. The Scott's listed from Ketchum and Big Cabin {Albert & Ethel} were the children of John B. & Eliza Jane Jeffries Scott of Ketchum.

Okay that would be great to see some pictures of them. I really miss not getting to see Ricky anymore. And I miss Dennis since his death. My computer is on the blink right now, but I will get it fixed tomorrow. Somehow I got myself disconnected from the internet. I'm at work now but will email you tomorrow as soon as I get back on the internet. I'm glad you contacted me. Joyce Ann is married, I think she lives in Bartlesville and has a baby. Last time I seen her was when her Grandmother, Ann's mother passed away about 1 to 2 years ago.

I checked the two volumes of tombstone transcriptions of the Vinita city cemetery-Fairview-and there are no Gill listed in either. I have info on another Gill family in Vinita, but I can't connect them to your's. I also can't find them listed in . I did find them listed on the 1920 and 1930 census of Tulsa co, Ok as you mentioned.

Hi, I am acquainted with another Gill family in Vinita, where I currently live and have lived most of my 60 years. I talked to the grandmother of that family who is is her upper 80s and she knows of no Gills by that name that is kin to them.

I was trying to do a look up for a person who lives out of town. I could not even find them on the SSDI index. She might have been in the Eastern State Hospital when she died. And it is so hard to find anything out about anyone who was in the hospital.I told her that if they could send me the 15.00 I could try to get a death certificate.I am wondering if they have the right dates or place of death. What they are really needing is the husbands date of death. His name was Henry Woodbury Gill. They are trying to apply for the DAR. And they were both from Stroughton, Mass. His birth date was 30 Apr 1876 in Stroughton,Mass.

Hi. I acutally planed on calling the hospital tomorrow to find out how to get information on my ggGrandfather who died there sometime in the early 30's until I saw this board. I think he may even have been buried in the cemetery there.
I was just wondering if you were able to get the information that you needed, and how you ended up going about it.
