Directions to Garvin County Cemeteries
If you can give directions to any of these cemeteries or better directions, or even add cemeteries which are missing from this list please send them to the County Coordinator for posting here to complete this listing so all may be able to locate our Garvin County Cemeteries.   Section numbers are by Sharon McAlister  Click on the underlined cemetery names for a listing and/or pictures (where they are available) of each cemetery..

Abney -  From Stratford, the 4 way stop, take 177 south about 1 mile.  Turn back west at the first intersection just past Blackburn Field.  You will go down this road about 3 1/4 miles.  There are 2 stop signs you will come to. Part of the way it will be a dirt/gravel road.  The cemetery is right off the road on the north side.  It has a gate with a large wooden overhead sign. You can't miss it if you drive down this road until you come to it.  David and Nadene Allen took me to this cemetery.  Sec 30-4N-3E

Antioch -  Take Highway 19 to Maysville.  On the east side of Maysville you will come to Highway 74.  Turn south here and drive 5 to 7 miles.  You will come to Antioch.  There is a green cemetery sign at a crossroads..  Go west at the sign and down about a mile you will see the cemetery on the north side pretty far back off the road.  On down you will come to the cemetery road and turn north and about 1/4 mile up is the cemetery gate. This is an active, well kept cemetery. Sec 16-3N-2W.

Bethleham -  This cemetery is just north of Mt Olivet.  You take Highway 77 north from Wynnewood or south from Pauls Valley and turn back east at Bethleham road which is almost right across from the Pauls Valley General Hospital.   It is at the end of this road.  This is an active, well kept cemetery.  African American Cemetery.

Corley Cemetery -  Right on Highway 177   between Stratford and Sulphur.  About 5 miles or so south of Stratford on the east side of the road.  Can't miss it has gate which says Corley overhead.  This is an active, well kept cemetery. Sec.23-3N-3E

Carver Cemetery - Where in the world is Carver Cemetery - somewhere down around Pernell and Foster? I think this is the same as Wyatt Chapel which we have found, in the place maps show Carver Cemetery, and is also known as Wrinkled Sock.

Civet Cemetery - This cemetery is located about 7 miles east of Pauls Valley on Hwy 19.  You drive from Pauls Valley east until you come to the Peavine Creek bridge.  You will see a red brick house ahead on the left and a couple of metal barns ahead on the right.  Just before you get to the red brick house you will see a turn off to the left.  There is currently a red painted metal gate there with a "No Trespass" sign on it.  The cemetery is up this road maybe 1/4 to 1/2 mile and on the west or left hand side.  It has gate which says Civit overhead.  This gate is normaly locked.  I believe the people that live in the house just east of the gate lease this land and can give permission to enter.  This in an inactive cemetery, currently unkept. Sec 20-4N-2E

Clabber Flats - Due to the construction of the Longmore Lake, the lovely old Clabber Flats recently suffered the indignation of being dug up and moved to a new location nearby. It is now located four miles west, one mile south, .07 miles west, and 1 1/2 miles south of Stratford. It was named for an early day school located near the original site. I got to it via Highway 77.  Will go back and try to map out exact direction. This in as inactive cemetery.

Dixon Chapel -  Nadine Allen told us how to get there.   From Pauls Valley take Hwy 19 east about 10 miles, (3 miles past Peavine Creek bridge and Civit), about 4 miles west of Stratford..   You will come to a sign that says Paradise Ranch (on the north side of Hwy 19) and a fence which encloses a house, barn and some kind of implement business.  Turn north at the east end of this fence.  This place has a gate just about where you turn that says 'BG'.  Go straight north down this road, about 4 miles.  You will come to a cross roads.  There you will see an old faded hand written sign (on the west side of the road) which says, Dixon Chapel Church 2 miles north 1/3 mile west.  Go on down this road, and you will come to a tan gate which says 'N Posted - Keep Out'.  Behind the fence is a tan metal barn and on down is a brick home.  Just on down the road you will cross a little bridge and come to the end of this fence with another gate, silver, that says 'N Posted - Keep out' and just by it you can turn west (there is no road leading east).  Go about 1/3 mile west and at the top of the hill you will come to the church drive way on the north side.  The cemetery is on the east side of the drive and there are 3 large white cross's on the wast side of the drive. 

Dripping Springs  also known as McCarty Cemetery and/or Riddle Cemetery - From Highway 76 turn back west at the Tussy sign.   Drive down a couple of miles.  You will pass a place where you can turn back north where oil field tanks are located.  Go past this to the next place you can turn back north.  Go through the gate and stay on the main path for about 2 miles or so. You will come to the cemetery behind a stand of trees on the east side of this oil field road. The gate just off the Tussy road has been kept locked in the past but for now I believe the land leaser says he no longer keeps it locked.  This is an active, cemetery, with the last burial being Mary Ethel Current in 1994. Sec. 33-1N-3W

Dulin/Walner Private Burial Ground - This cemetery is located on Crabtree Street in Paoli. Take Highway 77 through Paoli.  You will see a green cemetery sign at the turn on Church Street.  Turn east on Church Street.  You will come first to Cherry Street then the next street is Crabtree Street, where Church Street curves to the right.  Turn left/north on Crabtree Street.  The cemetery is at the end of that first block on the right/east side of the road.  Sec.12 4N,1W

Elmore City - Take Highway 29 and go west from Elmore City a few miles.  You will see the green cemetery sign on the south side of the road.   Turn back south here and go down about 1/2 mile and the cemetery is on the east side of the road. This is an active, well kept cemetery. Sec. 28-2N-2W

Erin Springs -  Take Highway 19 through Lindsay.  Turn back south on Highway 76 at the east end of Lindsay.  Drive down this road for 5 or 6 miles.  You will cross the Washita River Bridge and go into Erin Springs.  You will see a sign which says Erin Springs Mansion (Lindsay Murray Mansion) on the east side of the road not too far past the bridge.  Turn right at this sign and follow this road on around and you will find the cemetery on the right (north side) just after the curve.  If you drive on past the cemetery you will come to the Murray Mansion.  This is an active, well kept cemetery.

Five-Mile - Dennis Muncrief put it on the map and took me to it.   Just take highway 7 out of Davis or off I-35 and drive west, past the old Woodland School Building at Hoover.  It is about 5 or 6 miles down on the north side of the road.  Can't miss this one. This is an active, well kept cemetery.  African American Cemetery.  Sec. 29-1N-1W

Old Five-Mile -  There is a cemetery that I learned of here recently near Hennepin off Hwy 7.  The road that runs off 7 to the south is Mountain View road.  Turn west (right) at the first intersection and you will pass one house on the left side (south) midway (Richard Jolly owner of property) to the next intersection: If you pass the under ground house on the right side (Mr. Stamp) you have passed the gate that leads to the sight. A road leads from the gate around a hill. Just as you start to go right around the hill turn left and look for some old abandoned farm
equipment (reaper) and a creek going to the right and just a long the tree line is the cemetery. It is called Five Mile # 1.  Many of my people are buried here.  The stones are in good sharp but cows has knocked over many of them. This is the old town of Homer. I only learned of this two weeks ago from Sadie Munns, a cousin of mine.  My cousin, Ray Williams, lives near the cemetery and he showed it to Sadie and gave me directions  Cesar E. Peters, Jr.

Florence Chapel -  Turn back east off I-35 and drive just a little bit toward Paoli and you will see a sign saying Florence Chapel Road.  Take this road and signs will lead you to this cemetery.  It is now being taken care of and a new canvass in underway.   Sec. 28-4N-1W

Foster -  You get to Foster off Highway 29 west of Elmore City.   Drive west from Elmore City and take a left (south) at 29A.  When you get to the end of this road, about 1/2 mile, you have to go left or right.  Go right (west) and just follow this road around a curve which will lead you south and drive for a few miles and you will come to Foster Cemetery on the right (west) side of the road.   This is an active, well kept cemetery.  Sec. 34-2N-3W

Foster Old Indian - (?) not sure of name.  This one is on the north side of HWY 29 near Foster.  It has only two remaining headstones, I.L. Gipson and Minnie J., wife of Silas Gibson.  We are receiving both emails and phone calls wanting to know where the cemetery is... so we went out last weekend and clocked it Didn't clock it from Elmore City, probably should have...but this should help. Coming from Marlow... 1 3/10 mile from the HWY 76(Lindsey)/29 intersection ... Turn North, go 4/10 mile off Hwy 29 on the right side of the road, Among some trees.   This is an inactive, forgotten cemetery, documented by Diane Gann

Greenhill - Take Highway 19 through Lindsay.  Turn north on SW 4th and drive several miles till the road splits right and left. Go left (east) and the cemetery is on the north side of the road.  You can also take 76 where it runs north of Lindsay.  From this highway you would turn east on a road right around the Garvin County Sign and drive several miles down this road til you come to 4th street and on past it the cemetery on the north side of the road. Can't miss this one.  This is an active well kept cemetery.  This is an active, well kept cemetery.

Hennepin - Where in the world is Hennepin Cemetery? Dennis Muncrief put it on the map and took me to it, but I lost my notes.  I know we got to it from highway 7, drove west from I-35.  This is an active, well kept cemetery.   Where is Hennepin Cemetery - From the Davis turn off of I-35, go west about 9 miles, to Hennepin store. It is south of the store in Hennepin.   A small sign, points down the gravel road.  It is actually in Murray Co.  The road winds around, about a mile or so but only goes one way so you will see the cemetery.  I to had trouble with this. Took photos of all the tombstones in 2000, then found that Dennis Muncrief had listed it already.  Sincerely, Lou Anne Allen

Hopewell - This cemetery is located on the back road between Pauls Valley and Wynnewood.  Take old Highway 19, now Longmire Lake Road east from Pauls Valley.  Drive straight on out of town, past the Washita River bridge and about 2 or 3 miles past the bridge you will take the first road which lets you turn south.  It is just past a house.  Drive on down this road.  It will take two curves and cross an old bridge, then curve back west.  You will see the cemetery on a curve on the west/north side of the road.  If coming from Wynnewood, there is a road east of the Wynnewood Football Field which leads north.  This is the same road and will take you right past this cemetery also.  This is an active, well kept cemetery.  African American Cemetery.

Howell -  Dennis Muncrief put it on the map and took me to it.  It is located in a little triangle of land just beside and east of I-35, off highway 7. Instead of taking the interstate access road, take the next turn, north and the cemetery is right there on the west side of that road..  This is a small, inactive, well kept, beautiful little cemetery.  Sec. 35-1N-1E

James Cemetery (Rounds Creek) -   This cemetery is known as the James cemetery and is located on the farm that belonged to my grandfather Jesse Lee James.  It is located about 8 miles SW of Lindsay in Garvin County.   My cousin Ron Newby and his son Josh repaired some of the stones and re-fenced the cemetery last fall. There are 31 graves of which 19 are unreadable or un-identified.  by Sonya Smith

Katie - Went & found Katie.  If you take the back way between Pauls Valley and Elmore, just go on across Highway 29 and on south.  This road will go straight into Katie about 5 or 6 miles down.  The cemetery is right behind the old school house.  You can't miss it.  If coming from Elmore City, where Highway 29 curves back to the left, take the side road that goes on straight.  You will come to a 4 way stop.  Turn right/south here and it goes straight into Katie.  Also coming from Wynnewood, on Highway 29, turn back left/south when you are about 3 miles from Elmore City.  Fairoaks Pentecostal Church is on the north side of Highway 29 and an old store and a pink house is on the south side, just where you would turn.  Follow the road all the way into Katie, 5 or 6 miles. Or you can get there from Highway 74 by turning east at the Satterwhite school and following this road on around.  It get back in some places and has an old bridge that doesn't look too safe, but if you stay with the main road it runs right into Katie.  This is an active cemetery. Sec. 1-1N-2W

Klondike -  This is off the back road between Pauls Valley and Elmore City.  From the new Wal-Mart Distribution Center drive about 3 miles and you will come to a cross roads.  You will see a sign here for Klondike Cemetery.   Turn back south here and drive about 5 miles or so straight down this road.   Right at a curve you will see a sign that says cemetery and a big cattle gate.   The cemetery is through this gate and up into the pasture about 1/2 mile and on the north side.  This gate is normaly kept locked and the people who live just past the gate to the south should have a key.  This is an active cemetery with the last burials in 1994, 1995 & 1998.

Lizzie Keel - This cemetery is located on Highway 77 between Stratford and Pauls Valley.  About 10 miles east of Pauls Valley and maybe 4 miles west of Stratford you will see the gate on the south side of the highway.  It says Lizzie Keel Cemetery overhead.  The family keeps the gate locked as it is private land and has cattle on it.

Lewis - Take Lake Longmire Road (old Hwy 19) which runs between Pauls Valley and Hwy 177. The turn is about 1/2 way between Pauls Valley and Hwy 177.  You come to a sign on the north side of the road that says 7-Shooter and a road sign on the south side that says Tom Seymour Road and Lewis Cemetery.  Turn back south and drive for a couple of miles and you come to a stop sign and a sign that says Lewis Cemetery.  Turn right/west and drive for about 1 mile and the cemetery is on the right/north side of the road.  This is an active, well kept cemetery. Sec. 15-3N-2E

Little Flock - Off Highway 74 about 5 miles or so south of Elmore City turn back west at the cross roads where Satterwhite School is located.  Drive down 3 to 5 miles.  You will see a small church back off the road on the north side of the road.  The cemetery is behind it.  This is an active cemetery.  African American Cemetery. Sec. ?-1N-3W

McGee - This cemetery is just north of Stratford about 2 miles.  You can get to it from Highway 177.  There is a green cemetery sign posted just before the turn whether you are going north or south.  Turn back east here and the cemetery is down this road about 7/10 mile, just past the old McGee School building, on the south side of the road. You can also get to it by taking highway 19 through Stratford and turning north on Elm Street.  This street goes out to the cemetery. You will come to an S curve and then a stop sign at the old McGee School building.  Turn back east here and the cemetery is down on the south side of the road about 1/4 mile.   It is well marked by a gate with an overhead sign. This is an active, well kept cemetery.  Sec. 14-4N-3E

Maysville -  Take Highway 19 through Maysville.  At the west end of the Beef Creek Bridge in Maysville you will see the cemetery sign.   Turn back south here and just follow the road on around.  It goes back south and then turns and runs east and ends in the cemetery.  This is an active, well kept cemetery. Sec. 21-4N-2W

Meinders Family Cemetery - It is located 1/2 mile west of Ft. Arbuckle on the north side of Highway 7.  It is on private ranch land. GPS location 34� 26' 23" N - 97� 05' 16"W (NAD27) - Submitted by Dennis Muncrief Mar2008

Myers Family Cemetery - This cemetery is located about 400 yards south of the old Ft. Arbuckle site.  It is on private property.  Joe Dempsey says The Myers Family Cemetery is located roughly 200 yards south of the Fort Arbuckle Memorial which places it in Garvin county. The cemetery is between US Highway 7 and the Indian Meridian Starting Point. The cemetery is located across the creek behind the white, concrete block, flower/antique store where Meridian Road dead-ends at US Highway 7, west of Davis. Yahoo maps lists the area as Hoover, Oklahoma.   Sec. ?-1N-1E

Mt Olivet -  You can't miss this one.  It is a large cemetery between Pauls Valley and Wynnewood, just south of Pauls Valley right along Highway 77 on the east side of the road.  This is an active, well kept cemetery.   Sec. 21-3N-1E

OakGrove -  Also known as Mt. Zion.  This cemetery is east of Wynnewood about 5 miles along that highway.  Turn north on Mt. Zion Road and drive about 2 miles then turn back east at a cross roads and the cemetery gate is about 1 mile down that road on the south side.  Will post better directions when I find the email that gave them to me.  Sec.10-2N-2E

Oak Lawn -  Easy to find but need better directions than these I think.   Take Highway 29 through Wynnewood.  Toward the east end of Wynnewood you will see a sign that says Cemetery.  Turn back south here and go straight down about 8 block..  This road will lead you straight to the cemetery.  This is an active well kept cemetery. Sec. 22-2N-1E

Oakridge - Dennis Muncrief put it on the map.  My name is Darrell Wells.   I have been to the Oakridge cemetery several times. It is app. 4-1/2 miles west of Davis ok. It is about 1/2 mile west of I 35 on hi-way 7 west of Davis. It is on the north side of hi-way 7 in heavy timber. There is a cattle guard that goes into the old ranch, once inside the gate you turn east mostly and also north, the old company road used to go right past the cemetery, but when the hi-way was built in the 30's ( Hi-way 7) the road was abandoned. Sec. 35-1N-1E.

Paoli - Take Highway 77 through Paoli.  You will see a green cemetery sign at the turn on Church Street.  Turn east on Church Street and follow this road on out of town.  It will cross the railroad track. Drive on out until you come to the first intersection.  You will see a cemetery sign just before the intersection.  Turn back south and the cemetery is down this road about 1/2 mile on the east side.  This is an active well kept cemetery.  Sec. 18-4N-1E

The Old Cemetery - In Pauls Valley.  The original cemetery for Pauls Valley. Located just across Rush Creek, on the south side of town, just south of the Walnut Street bridge, (what used to be called the truck route) on the west side, before you come to the stop sign and on up the hill to Jackson School.  No longer used.  This is an inactive cemetery.

Old Purdy - Where in the world is Old Purdy Cemetery?  The Old Purdy cemetery is south out of Lindsay, go through Erin Springs, past the Purdy Cemetery (on the west) I think over a bridge and then another bridge that is on a curve; getting off the highway, turn to the east. Follow the winding road; at the dead end is the home of my Aunt Mazie Whitt; the cemetery is back to the west, north side of road; one must walk in. There was a sign, but believe it has been destroyed. submitted by Mary Gonshor

Purdy -  From Lindsay you take Highway 76 south and drive maybe 9 miles or so.  You will see the cemetery signs on the west side of the highway just before you get to the Rush Creek bridge.  Take the turn back west here and the cemetery is about 1/4 mile up this road. Can't miss this one.  This is an active, well kept cemetery. Sec. 22-3N-4W

Randolph - Corine Head Martin says Randolph Cemetery is located between Maysville and Purcell. It is just inside Garvin Co., OK. Go north from Maysville on highway 74.  It is about 2 miles out.  You will pass Burford Corporation and pass the river bridge.  You will come to a cross roads where there is a blond brick house with a sign in front of it on the west side of the road which says "Story Baptist Church - 3 miles". Turn left/west here on the road between the blond brick house and the blue service station. The cemetery is just behind the blond brick house on the left/south side of the road just after you turn.    The reason that I was and am interested in it is because this is where I think that my great grandmother is buried. There didn't appear to be a tombstone, so searching was fruitless at the time. When we were up there it was terribly grown up but is currently being kept up by a relative of some buried there. I know that they lived in the area at the time of her death around 1904."  This is an inactive  cemetery.  Sec. 4-4N-2W

Red Bluff - Contributed by Gerald Schuler See Pictures of Redbluff Cemetery The directions to Red Bluff Cemetery is as follows: At the intersection of OK highways 74 and 19 in Maysville, go West 6 miles, (there is a sign indicating Wallville is south) turn South approximately 5.7 miles, then West again 1.7 miles, (there is a slight right & left turn in the second mile at about the half mile mark) to a locked pipe gate and cattle guard. The cemetery is not visible from this gate. From here you must walk about 500 yards SSW following a small gravel interior road. The cemetery will be on your left (East).   This little cemetery is not shown on any Topographic Map that I have seen, but for those interested in the legal description of the location of the cemetery, my determination is as follows: W1/2, NE1/4, NW1/4, Section 17 Township 3N, Range 3 W.    Contributed by Diane Robbins Directions to Red Bluff Cemetery. Near the old community of Wallville.  Turn south on Highway 19 between Maysville and Lindsey. A sign will say to Wallville. Go approximately 6.5 miles until you reach the end of the  blacktop. Continue past the intersection. You will pass a brick house on the left and cross a wooden bridge. Follow the curve in the road back north. Turn west on the next road. Watch for an old field entrance on the left. When we visited in May 1996 the sign read, (Annadarka Reid "A" No 1-17 C. NE NW Sec 17-3N-3W Garvin County OK). You cannot see the cemetery from the road. It is about 150 yards into the pasture, just over the rise. When you enter the pasture the road will Y, there will be oil equipment to the left and the cemetery to the right. The 75-foot square cemetery was enclosed by fencing.

Robberson - Terry Johnson took me to this cemetery.  We went up Hwy 76 south to the road that intersects the Hwy just at the Pernell school and turned right/west.  We went straight and where the paved road curved back south we took the dirt road straight instead of taking the curve.  We drove straight on to a red gate, then straight on to a wire gate, and just inside that second gate we turned south and drove for about 1/4 mile, stopped and crawled under a fence and walked about 150 yards into the pasture.  The cemetery was located in a thicket of trees.  It is not being taken care of.  It has no fence or sign.  Terry said the Robberson Townsite was located right by the cemetery but there is no sign of it now.  He indicated that the gates are kept locked as the cemetery is on leased land where cattle are kept.  There may well be more graves here than listed but not that you could readily see.  This is an inactive, forgotten cemetery. Sec. 19-1N-3W

Rounds Creek (James Cemetery) -   This cemetery is known as the James cemetery and is located on the farm that belonged to my grandfather Jesse Lee James.  It is located about 8 miles SW of Lindsay in Garvin County.   My cousin Ron Newby and his son Josh repaired some of the stones and re-fenced the cemetery last fall. Sandy Bear -  There are 2 intersections or ("T"s if you want to call it that) of HW 76 & 29. From Lindsay take HW76 south. Go 14 miles to the intersection of 76 & 29. Turn left and go east on HW29 for about 2 or 3 miles. Turn right and go south on the Garvin/Stephens county line gravel road. It is down the road about 3 or 4 miles on the right side of the road.  It's been 13 years from the last time I was there. The county road is about half way between the 2 intersections of 76 & 29. The cemetery is on the west side of the county line road placeing it in Stephens co. If you need additional information please feel free to email me. Jim Anderson

Sandy Hill Cemetery - This is a Native American Cemetery. You can get to it from Lake Longmire Road.  South of Stratford on 177 take Lake Longmire Road west.  Go about  2 miles.  You will come to an S curve and then a bridge.  The bridge spans Sandy Creek.  Turn north just before the bridge.  About 1/4 mile down on the west side of the road you will see the Sandy Hill Church.  Some new construction is being done on the church.   The cemetery is behind and just south of the church, beside the creek.  It is currently not being taken care of.  David & Nadine Allen took me to the Sandy Hill Church.

Shirley (Pitchlynn Field) - This old family cemetery is located behind the Refinery. The graves are located on the L.L. Shirley property, a private cemetery and an old house are all that is out there, just about a mile behind the Wynnewood Refinery.  Bob

State School - The State School provided us with a list but it does not cover or say if there is a cemetery on the property from when this was a boys home. The list is from the living center for the disabled.  This would  be about midpoint between Pauls Valley and Wynnewood, somewhere near the State School, on the east side of the road. Sec. 28-3N-1E

Sweet Home - This is an African-American cemetery located about 1 mile east and 1/2 mile north of Katie. From the 4 way stop at Katie, drive west about 1 mile.  You will come to where the road forks.  One fork is paved and one is gravel.  Take the paved fork.  It will cross a small bridge just past the fork.  Drive on west till you start uphill and before the top of the hill, turn north.  This is the only road you can turn north on and there is a sign at the turn which says "Buena Ventura Paint Horses".   Drive on north down this road.  You will come to a gate on the west side of the road just before you come to a brick house on the east side of the road.  You should even be able to see the old church house off to the west, just before you come to the gate.   From the gate, just follow the dirt trail and it will lead straight to the church, where you will find the cemetery to the north side.   It is being mowed and all graves had flowers to indicate that this cemetery is cared for and those resting here are n

Tussy - From Highway 76 turn back west at the Tussy sign.  Drive down 5 miles or so.  You will pass the post office which is on the south side of the road and then come to the cemetery which is on the north side of the road.  Can't miss this one. It is really in Stephens County.  This is an active, well kept cemetery. Sec. 31-1N-3W

Whitebead - To get to this cemetery you can take Hwy 19 between Pauls Valley and Maysville, turn north on the service road on either side of I35 and go down a mile or two and turn back west on Kimberlin Road, drive for about 1/2 mile and you will see the cemetery sign on the north side of the road.   Turn north at the sign and the cemetery is down about a mile or two, on the east side of the road.  Optionally you can take I35 and get off at Kimberlin Road, and turn back west and drive until you see the cemetery sign, or driving east from Maysville, you can take the Kimberlin Road, which comes from Whitebead School on the south side of the road, across Hwy 19, and goes northeast on the north side of Hwy 19.  This road will also come to the cemetery sign on the north side of the road.  Turn north there and go on down to the cemetery.   This is an active, well kept cemetery. Wyatt Chapel Cemetery - Where in the world is Wyatt Chapel Cemetery? Wyatt Chapel Cemetery is located 4 miles west of the Satterwhite church and about 1/4 mile north of the intersection on the west side of the road. Also, the old Wyatt Chapel school was located about 1/2 mile north of the intersection on the east side of the road. The foundation is still there. My father-in-law, Joe A. Cook, used to maintain the Wyatt Chapel cememetery until his death about 4 years ago. DeWayne Colwell

Wynnewood View - Where in the world is Wynnewood View Cemetery? Dennis Muncrief put it on the map and took me to it, by way of Howell Cemetery.  So we got off I-35 at highway 7 and turned back east and took the turned north just past the I-35 access road, went past Howell Cemetery, drove about 6 miles or so and came to Wynnewood View on the west side of the road, overlooking the Interstate.  Directions from Rosemary Bowen - Wynnewood View Cemetery Directions are on I 35 go to Exit 60 (Ruppe Road) between Wynnewood & Davis Exit turn East 1/8 mile to T in road then turn North less than a mile on West side of road.
