DAVIS, Catherine Amanda Ketner Date: 6 Jul 2000 I am looking for the death dates of Catherine Amanda KETNER DAVIS, wife of Elihu Leigh DAVIS around Wewoka, OK. Also, a Mr FARMER and his wife Nettie KETNER FARMER. Elihu L. DAVIS may be buried there also. If you have access to the cemetery records in this county, please look this information up for me.... DAVIS, Elihu Leigh Date: May 13, 2001 I am looking for the following DAVIS family: Catherine Amanda KETNER, born in 1866 in Denton, Lawrence County, Arkansas. She married Elihu L. DAVIS on May 12, 1885 in Lawrence County, Arkansas. Elihu was born in Lawrence County, Arkansas in 1864. They moved from there to Tuttle, Indian Territory, Okahoma, in about 1900, and in the 1910 census, it shows that there were nine children born to them with eight living at the time. Elihu was living in Tuttle when his mother and father died on Januar 23, 1907, and in Wewoka, Oklahoma on February 7, 1935, when his sister, Rhoda (Davis) PETTYJOHN died. Amanda died in Wewoka, Oklahoma. Elihu died sometime after February 7, 1935 while visiting relatives in Portia, Arkansas of a heart attack. They were going to clean a local cemetery and have dinner on the grounds. He had gone down to where he was staying to put on a clean shirt with a grandson of Sarah Mahala, Ralph Brown, sat down in a chair and died peacefully. DAVIS, Fred Bonner Date: 26 Aug 2000 I need the story behind Fred Bonner Davis' death on 06/21/1917 near Welty, Oklahoma. I know it had to do with running liquor and shootings. He was an older brother to Mont Davis and uncle to Jeff Davis. Fred's wife Minnie Wilson had died 2/19/1915 only 3 months after their marriage. any help with this will be greatly appreciated. DAVIS - Would like to have the death date and obit if possible for LUCINDA EVELINE HAWK DAVIS who was born 25 Mar 1835 Madison Co Ark. and died after 25 Mar 1935 in Wewoka Seminole Co Ok . An interview with her on her 100th birthday was written up in the McAlester News Capital on that date. She married ANDREW BAKER DAVIS in 1857 in Washington Co Ark. He died in Seminole Co Ok on 9 Aug 1911. His obit would be helpful also.They had 12 children. They moved to Seminole Co between 1900 and 1907 when they are in the Ok Territorial census and the US 1910 census. She is also in the 1920 and 1930 census all in Seminole Co. DEATHERAGE and GREENLEE Date: May 24, 1998 My Father was born Mar 21, 1933, in Wewoka Oklahoma, he says that is in Seminole County. Is this true? What I am trying to find out is more information on his Father and Mother. Their names were Lon DEATHERAGE and Caroline Irene GREENLEE. Does anyone out there have information that can help me in my search? He was at one time well known for the Angels and and Lambs he carved in grave markers in Atoka. My fathers half brother, Luther Deatherage owned the Shawnee Memorial works in Shawnee, Oklahoma in 1940. As I have never been to Oklahoma, let alone Shawnee or Wewoka, I need all the help I can get. Grover Cleveland Doyle b. abt Nov.1894 in Denton Co., Texas Murdered by Clay Tilert @ Sasakwa, OK age 40 years. abt. 1934-1940 possibly. DUNCAN Date: 20 Jan 2000 I have just found my grandfather and grandmother on the 1920 Census for Seminole, OK. The township looks like Centuchea?? I know that my grandmother was pregnant at the time of the Census and this was the first child by my grandfather, so I am assuming that that may have gotten married in Seminole, OK probably around May of 1919. I would appreciate it if anyone has a marriage record for them. Robert Lee DUNCAN and Nora (SUTTON maiden name) (LEONARD first married name). I would also like any information on my fathers birth in Seminole Ct. OK on 6/27/1921 for Wallace Robert DUNCAN.
