I have compiled some of the genealogy of the Craig county Whiteday families because of contact with a descendant's wife was a cousin to my son-in-law. She was Thelma (Harding) Parrish, widow of Tommy Parrish, Sr and she gave me a large amount of the information that I then elaborated on in my research in connection with northeast Oklahoma. I would be happy to share this with you or anyone else interested. Write to me at : OkieEddy@yahoo.com

I am looking for information about Creede Martin and/or Mary Elizabeth Todd, a widow with 2 children. They were married in OK sometime between 1893 and 1900 and had a son, named Creede, in 1900. They also had a son named William. Mary had a son and daughter from her first marraige. Creede JR. died in 1979 in Vinita, Craig County and I believe that is where he lived most of his life. Any information about this family would be helpful.

Fleta Melinda LEE was born in the Indian Territory 2/2/1889 according to a delayed birth record filed in the Parker Co., TX, birth records. Her parents Francis Marion and Adeline Perniecy NICHOLS LEE were moving from Little Rock, AR, to Borden Co., TX, when Fleta was born. Her birth record indicates she was born in Vinita. So far, we have been able to prove this information. I am trying to establish how the family moved from northern AL to TX. Any assistance will be appreciated.

My husband's great grandfather, John CANTRELL, sometimes spelled CANTWELL, died at the Vinita State Hospital in 1936. Is it possible to get information from these records. I am looking for the names of his parents. The State death certificate does not give these names and I was hoping that admittance records for the hospital might give these. Is the hospital still in existance and if so what might be the address or phone number? Thanks for any assistance. JoAnn CANTRELL n5tfc@edumaster.net
