How do you obtain any family records for a family member that died and is buried in the cemetery in Eastern Oklahoma Hospital? John O. Barnard d. 5 March 1937. He previously lived in Miami, Oklahoma. His wife is buried in Springfield, Mo. Thanks. Dorcas Beaver |

I would start by getting his Oklahoma death certificate from the state of Oklahoma. |

does it say he is buried in the cementry at eastern state or elsewhere"? i looked in the vinita okla obits and the is nothing there for him, you might try looking where he previously lived for a obit |

FYI, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR ANYONE TO GET RECORDS OF PATIENTS WHO SPENT TIME AT THIS FACILITY. IT IS TOP SECRET!!!! I have tried time and time again, even going through legal channels to get info on my great-grandmother (Isabelle Tinker Statham Andrews)and I am shut down at every turn. It is a very disturbing/ugly place full of secrets and the powers that be are doing everything they can to keep it that way. |

I know where my great grandmother is buried. She did not spend her entire life in the state mental hospital, but thanks for the info. I am already a member of findagrave. |

What records are you trying to get at the hosptal? Yes, they are hard to get, if not next to impossible. If your ggm,s neice attained Headright, why was your family denied, and it went to her neice, just wondering? I know about the Headrights, and how there were so many problems because of them. Some Osage murdered their own parents and had their family members committed to mental hospitals, or falsely sent to jails, due to the Headrights. There are many horror stories. |

1940 obit from the Craig County Democrat......................G. E. Jennings , 39 passed away last night at a local hospital at 7;30. He is survived by his widow , three sons and three daughters. Services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Luginbuel chapel with Rev. Parker of the Holiness church, Vinita, officiating. Burial in Military Cemetery under direction of Luginbuel Funeral home. |
