My birth Mother was a patient or worker there last I knew before I was adopted in the mid 1950's. From what you say it would be futile to try to find anything about her. I did visit the site several years ago and was given permission to drive around the grounds as long as I stayed at my car if I stopped. No other help or information was available. I did manage to take a number of pictures. My Mother went by the name of Louise Miller.

Thank you, this helps tremendously. Apparently, Susan went to Kay County where my branch of the Close family lived. Thanks again for the help.

I don't know a lot about Sarah Sally Falls Crawford. What I do know I found in Elizabeth Carter Greer's civil war widows pension file WC94368. Elizabeth's pension was being challenged because she was being tried for fornication and adultery and Sarah Sally did write a letter that is in Elizabeth's pension file. I do know that Berry and Sarah traveled to Newton Co Ark in 1883 but Elizabeth went along so not long after they arrived Sarah went back to Georgia. Elizabeth and Berry married in 1890 in McDonald Co Mo and then divorced in 1913. Elizabeth died in 1925 and is buried in Chelsea Okla but I have no idea when Berry died or where he is buried. If I find anymore info I will be sure and let you know and I would love any info you might have on Elizabeth. Also if you come past a picture of her I would love to see it. Thank you!
